2024 Guest Ranch Vacation Rates At California’s Family Dude Ranch

Ranch House Nights

For ranch guests who want to sample everything, this is the way to go. This reduced-fare package is all inclusive of lodging, meals, and ALL activities as outlined below. Please note! Unlike many other guest ranches, NONE of our activities have any additional surcharges. “All Inclusive” means that other than voluntary gratuities, and gift shop purchases  everything we do and all we offer is included in your California dude ranch vacation.  After you arrive, you can lock your wallet in your car. We promise not to nickel and dime you during your stay.

ALERT! Do you need a shorter stay to accommodate your family’s busy summer schedule? We are now accepting short stay bookings (3 night minimums) on a space available basis within 30 days of any prime season start date, as well as in all of our Fall and Spring shoulder seasons.  Call for details and space checks at 800-552-6284.

Gift shop purchases, therapeutic massage, airport shuttles and gratuities are the only things not included in your fare. Gratuities (ranging from 5-15% on average) are voluntary, and divided equally among all staff including housekeeping staff.

ITINERARY: There are three separate scheduled events during each morning of your stay along with some free time to relax. Each day’s schedule includes a morning schedule block for trail rides and a second schedule block for arena games / “trail-kana” / lessons. You will also have a third morning schedule block for the shooting sports and frontier sports such as archery and tomahawk throwing before we break for lunch.

After lunch we raft/kayak a new stretch of the river on each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.    On Thursday afternoons we also offer exciting ranch seasonal events like branding, cider pressing, gold panning, ATV rides and more.

Each day we trail ride a new section of the wilderness and play new and exciting riding games in the arena. Our rafting/ kayaking events also cover a different stretch of the river on each trip.

Monday – arrival and check-in after 2:00 P.M., horse riding orientation, pool swimming, campfire games, hors d’oeuvres and dinner
Tuesday – Mornings offer trail-rides, arena games, and frontier/shooting sports.  Afternoon events include a river trip with your choice of  either class II -III rafting or kayaking.
Wednesday -Morning horseback trail rides, more arena games, and shooting sports – afternoon class III kayak & raft trip with a thrilling hike to Ukanom Falls as part of the rafting excursion.
Thursday – Mornings on Thursday offer more new trail rides, arena games, and frontier sports/shooting sports at the range.   Thursday afternoon ranch events include ATV rides (for participants 16 and older holding a valid drivers license) gold panning, fly casting lessons, cider pressing, branding activity (branding to make cedar signs), weaving lavender wands and more.  Thursday’s afternoon events are scheduled as a sign-up activity since there is not enough time to do all activity offerings.

Friday – morning trail rides, barrel racing and arena games, frontier sports and shooting range, afternoon class III rafting on the “rattle snake” run.
Saturday – Breakfast followed by gift shop time, farewells, and check-out.

If you have “Young Buckaroos“, your child will be involved in wrangler led horse rides, ranch arts and crafts, feeding the small animals, swimming, and nature walks during the times that you are scheduled for activities that are not age appropriate for your buckaroo.
