      Heidi and... read more Doug had a fantastic staff both times. Some were family, some were hires, but all of them were wonderful. Each stay my youngest daughter was essentially adopted by one of the staff and made her experience even more memorable (Taylor, Kayla misses you look for a letter soon).
      Whether riding or rafting or shooting, safety was paramount and the entire staff practiced what they preached.
      My kids love the place.
      I am not into horses at all. I only chose a ranch vacation for my daughters. That being said, this place for me was sublime. As a single parent it was so relaxing to not be on the grid and after planned activities to know that it was safe to let my girls roam the grounds and play with the other kids and feed chickens and goats and zipline and just be free and happy awesome. Happy kids, happy dad.
      Go on the hike to the waterfall. If you have a license go on the ATV ride, you can handle it. Jump out of the rafts as many times as possible. Do Dragon's Tooth. Enjoy.

From the... read more moment we arrived to even when I write this review, we felt like we were family at the ranch. The food was incredible each night, my favorite was the ribs. Everyday was planned out for us from morning to evening which is such a relief on parents having to plan and meal prep. From my kids to all of the other guests, everyone had a new favorite each day. My kids are still talking about the trip and I know it will be a memory for the rest of our lives and definitely would love to come back. Do not let the cost deter you, it is well worth every penny, not because the service and hospitality is 5-star, but the memories the place curates with loved ones. The accommodations were extremely clean, safety is a priority in every activity, the food is fantastic for all ages, just the right mix and time allotted to each activity, Doug and Heidi and their family of ranch hands were so amazing and even spent their free time with the guest . My son's favorite was all of the shooting activities, my daughter the horses and dad's was watching his kids love every moment they were they and saying "Dad this is the best vacation ever".

    • star rating  Family Memories to Last a Lifetime! - My teenage kids and I spent a week at Marble Mountain Ranch and we are still glowing with happiness, reminiscing all of the incredible experiences we enjoyed. Doug, Heidi, Adam... read more and Peter are quality people, experts in their crafts and excellent instructors/guides. We built confidence on horses, river rafting/kayaking, and using firearms. I especially liked the lesson and historical rifle from the Revolutionary War led by Doug. We all got so comfortable riding horses with Adam, and he and his wife's jewelry and ceramics are beautiful. Peter was our river guide . I cannot believe how he taught my kids to raft and kayak through some pretty technical rapids. He was amazing with them, and the hike to the waterfall was difficult, but the breathtaking view made it worth the work. Heidi filled our bellies all week with home grown, homemade meals that I hope to get close to replicating! I loved getting to know the family. If you want to spend quality time with your family and get to know other like-minded families looking for the same, Marble Mountain Ranch is it!
