    • star rating  A dream ranch vacation exceeding all expectations! - From the charmingly appointed rustic cabins to the farm to table exceptional homemade meals and deserts, this ranch exceeded any expectations I might have had. All the activities are scheduled... read more so carefully that I was able to participate in everything I wanted to do. Their horses are very well cared for, well behaved and trained. No swaybacked trail nags here! The up to date whitewater rafts and staff were all very knowledgeable and safety oriented. The shooting involved expert SAFE instruction and a revolving set of varied experiences with different weapons. The children in attendance had the time of their lives as did this 74 year old horsewoman! The ranch is self sufficient ( off the grid) and well off the beaten path. A real community developed amongst the guests under the guidance and warm personalities of Heidi and Doug. The 30 plus years of love and devotion to the upkeep of the natural beauty of their ranch showed in the gardens and plantings of flowers and trees in abundance. Even the gaggle of teenaged sisters spent less time in the lodge (the only WiFi) than one would have imagined! A fun and deeply relaxing time in nature was had by all. I will definitely be back again! Happy Trails!

    • star rating  More than just a holiday! - It is not easy to get across just how wonderful Marble Mountain Ranch is. We were anxious about how the week would go for our family of 4 with two... read more teenagers, but this dissipated within seconds of arrival. There is a depth and breadth of expertise and care in how the ranch is run that makes this a very special experience. The horses are loved, well-trained and contented, the staff are all adorable, the food glorious. We were fully occupied from morning until night, coasting from one unforgettable and enriching experience to the next. The ranch itself is stunning, and set in a spectacular landscape. Each activity was of the highest quality and it felt enormously luxurious to be in such capable hands throughout. It was a stretch for us financially but absolutely some of the best money we have ever spent.

    • star rating  Just book it - a real memory making week - There are not enough superlatives to describe what an amazing place Marble Mountain Ranch is, nor how lovely the family and staff are. Once I found the location from... read more the website and calculated the cost of everything, including travel from the UK and then internally in the US, it was a pretty packet but it was SO worth it as there were no extras to worry about at all. All the activities, riding, shooting and rafting are done with superb professionalism and despite the riding and rafting having some degree of risk, we were all safe at all times. As a horse rider myself the riding was tame but watching my family riding every day and enjoying themselves more than made up for it. They were also the only ranch I came across where riding hats were compulsory - this was a BIG tick in my box. We all learnt so much about guns from Doug and had a literal blast at the range. The rafting was really fun (even for those like myself, who are not fans of water) and the hike to the waterfall was almost as exciting in places. My children (17 and 18) loved the independence of travelling by kayak down pretty much most of the river sections - apart from one or two more challenging sections when they got in the raft. The food was delicious, we loved the wood branding and smores towards the end of the week too, and of course Doug's stories. I don't think there was once aspect of the place I would change. Doug and Heidi really are the hosts with the most, and although everything is super slick, it never feels like they are going through the motions. Do not hesitate!
