We... read more were initially unsure when considering a dude ranch/rafting vacation, if the experience would live up to the cost. All four of us (parents early 40’s and kids early teens) were blown away by the vacation experience. Absolutely delivered on value, and exceeded our expectations. It should be noted that any experience level can come out and enjoy these outdoor activities my wife for example had never rafted, never been on a horse, never shot a gun, and she had a lot of fun and really enjoyed herself.

      A beautiful remote setting, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday city life, where you park your car and let it collect dust for the entire week, everything else is taken care of. A family owned/operated ranch, where you can stay busy with fun activities all day long, or just relax in the mountains if that is more your speed. We wanted to be going all day everyday rafting the rapids, horseback trail riding/lessons, waterfall hiking, target and trap shooting, archery and ax throwing, fly fishing, zip line, and making new friends. Immersing ourselves in Marble Mountain Ranch and eating up the many stories Doug & Heidi shared of their life/rafting/ranch journey. Speaking of eating, all the meals are prepared for you fresh on site, and both Heidi and Doug are excellent cooks. We were thankful to have picked up Heidi’s cookbook and have re-lived several amazing meals since arriving back home after our trip. Those tastes will take us back to Marble Mountain Ranch each time we whip up another dish.

      Lodging was nice, with a cozy cabin in the middle of the property. Plenty of beds in two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen with fridge/stove/sink, breakfast table inside and front porch table outside. After all the fun outdoors, we slept well each night. For those needing to keep a finger on the work pulse, WiFi was available at the main building, and I was able to take care of calls/check email without any issues all week.

      If we could rate this 10-stars, I would. Hopeful that more folks find this review and make the decision to head out to Marble Mountain Ranch.

From the... read more moment we arrived to even when I write this review, we felt like we were family at the ranch. The food was incredible each night, my favorite was the ribs. Everyday was planned out for us from morning to evening which is such a relief on parents having to plan and meal prep. From my kids to all of the other guests, everyone had a new favorite each day. My kids are still talking about the trip and I know it will be a memory for the rest of our lives and definitely would love to come back. Do not let the cost deter you, it is well worth every penny, not because the service and hospitality is 5-star, but the memories the place curates with loved ones. The accommodations were extremely clean, safety is a priority in every activity, the food is fantastic for all ages, just the right mix and time allotted to each activity, Doug and Heidi and their family of ranch hands were so amazing and even spent their free time with the guest . My son's favorite was all of the shooting activities, my daughter the horses and dad's was watching his kids love every moment they were they and saying "Dad this is the best vacation ever".

They treated us just like we were their own family!... read more They had activities lined up for us the entire week, all day long we didn't have time to get bored! What a great time! I would highly recommend this trip for a family wanting some real activities. The cabins are nice, the dinning haul is great, and the food is EXCELLENT!
