Family Friendly River Rafting Adventure

Klamath River rafting is suited to whole family participation, with warm summer river flows, great swimming, and beginner to intermediate level rapids (Class II and III). The white water rafting and kayaking adventure at Marble Mountain Guest Ranch is scheduled in the warmer afternoon hours and covers a new and exciting stretch of the river each day.

Our afternoon departures place us on the river after the first push of rafting traffic and gives us an almost exclusive use of the canyon. This strategy also enables our signature “raft and ride” program of scheduling horseback riding and shooting sports in the cooler mornings, followed by refreshing rafting trips in the heat of the day. Since we are central to each of the rafting locations, shuttles to the launch sites take no more than 35 minutes.

We Are Local Outfitters

As local outfitters, we know the Klamath River intimately and can guide you to a safe and enjoyable river rafting trip. As with all of our family dude ranch vacations, our trips are personally outfitted by our ranch family and staff.
We never hand you off to a third-party outfitter.

Whether you choose a paddle-raft, an oar-powered raft, or an inflatable kayak, the price remains the same. Choosing an inflatable kayak allows for the highest level of participation, while oar-powered rafts allow you to simply relax and enjoy the scenery.

Solo Kayaking

On each rafting trip on the Klamath River you have the option to take a single-person inflatable kayak. Kayaking on the Klamath is great for beginners!

Progressively Challenging

Each rafting trip at Marble Mountain Ranch is progressively more challenging than the last, though every section remains family-friendly.

We strategically plan our rafting trips for the hottest part of the day. Escape the peak of summer heat with a swim in the river and the splash of white water rafting.

Saddle and Paddle Vacations- A Marble Mountain Guest Ranch Signature

Our signature “Saddle and Paddle” outdoor adventures join morning equestrian vacations with afternoon river rafting trips. This schedule allows us more seclusion on the river, and allows the youth on the trip to swim the river during the warmest portions of the day. Snacks on the river and drinks at the end of the trip are always included, and we return to the ranch in time to freshen up for hors d’oeuvres and dinner.

Our Klamath River rafting is only offered as a part of our All Inclusive Family Dude Ranch Vacations between June 1 and September 1. Stand alone river rafting trips are available from Marble Mountain Ranch during our Spring and Fall shoulder seasons.

River Rafting Guide School

Would you like to learn how to guide white water rivers by raft, drift boat, and kayak? Think of all the fame, peer recognition, and economic opportunity!

Come join us for our annual Spring Guide School. It is a 6 day course scheduled for Monday through Saturday, and is designed to bring you to a class III competency, allowing you to boat privately or commercially. Our river guide school is the perfect foundation for building skills necessary to guide advanced class IV and V rivers. Please contact us for upcoming dates and costs for this year’s guide school.
